CBF Fest 2025- Keynote Speaker

What Is AI? Reflections from My Keynote at CBF Fest

On 25th October, I had the absolute pleasure of delivering the keynote address at CBF Fest, where I explored a topic that continues to define our era: “What is AI?”

It was an energising and insightful experience with a room full of curious minds eager to understand not only what artificial intelligence is, but what it means for how we live, work, and connect.

Demystifying AI

AI can often feel like a buzzword surrounded by hype and complex jargon. During my keynote, I wanted to cut through that noise and bring the conversation back to what really matters: people.

At its core, AI isn’t just about algorithms or automation. It’s about augmentation, how technology can enhance human potential, streamline decision-making, and create opportunities for creativity and progress. We explored the tangible ways AI is already influencing our everyday lives, from personalised learning and smarter business tools to advances in healthcare and sustainability.

We also discussed a deeper question: How do we ensure AI works for everyone? That means thinking critically about ethics, bias, access, and education, and making sure that as the technology evolves, no one is left behind.

An Engaged and Forward-Thinking Audience

One of the most rewarding parts of the day was the energy in the room. The audience at CBF Fest came ready to ask thoughtful, challenging questions about AI’s role in society. We spoke about its impact on the workforce, how to build trust in intelligent systems, and what the future might look like for young people entering tech-driven industries.

That engagement reminded me why I love doing what I do: creating spaces where people feel empowered to ask questions, learn, and imagine new possibilities for technology.

The Bigger Picture

AI isn’t the future; it’s the present. The more we understand it, the better equipped we are to shape it responsibly. Whether I’m speaking with executives, students, or educators, I’m constantly inspired by how people are finding creative ways to harness technology for good.
