Runna - Keynote Speaker

Runna Office Talk — 29 October 2025

I had the privilege of being invited to the Runna office to deliver a session for their internal team on bias in the workplace, a topic that continues to influence how we hire, collaborate, and lead. Throughout the session, we explored what bias looks like in real time and how it can subtly shape decision-making, performance reviews, team dynamics, and everyday interactions. We examined practical examples, shared experiences, and reflected on the moments where unconscious patterns often go unnoticed.

A significant part of our conversation focused on moving from awareness to meaningful action. Together, we discussed the importance of intentional communication, inclusive leadership, and the role each individual plays in building a culture of accountability. The aim was not only to recognise bias but to equip the team with tools and behaviours that help create more equitable and supportive environments.

What truly stood out to me was the Runna team’s openness and honesty. They approached the session with curiosity and a genuine willingness to learn, engaging thoughtfully with challenging questions and moments of reflection. Their commitment to growth and understanding is exactly what drives real cultural progress.

Experiences like this reaffirm why I am passionate about this work: helping organisations create spaces where people feel seen, respected, and empowered to bring their full selves to work. It was an honour to contribute to Runna’s ongoing journey toward a more inclusive workplace.
