Financial Times x Money Box Event: Future-Proofing Your Career with AI

Future-Proofing Your Career with AI: Insights from the Financial Times x Money Box Panel

I was delighted to join the Financial Times x Money Box panel discussion on “Future-Proofing Your Career with AI”, alongside an incredible lineup of speakers and thought leaders on the 31st October 2025.

The conversation couldn’t have been more timely. As AI reshapes the way we work, learn, and make decisions, professionals across every industry are asking the same question: How do we stay relevant in a world transformed by technology?

Embracing the Human + AI Partnership

One of the key themes we explored was the idea that AI isn’t here to replace us , it’s here to empower us. The future of work lies in learning how to combine human intelligence with artificial intelligence.

Rather than fearing automation, we can use it to enhance creativity, improve efficiency, and unlock new opportunities. Those who thrive will be the ones who know how to leverage AI as a collaborator , not a competitor.

Lifelong Learning as a Superpower

Another major takeaway from the panel was the importance of continuous learning and adaptability. The most valuable skill in the age of AI isn’t coding or data science alone ,it’s the ability to learn, unlearn, and relearn as the world evolves.

Investing in digital literacy, developing curiosity, and building confidence around new technologies will be essential for anyone looking to future-proof their career.

Gratitude and Reflections

A heartfelt thank you to the Financial Times and Money Box teams for bringing together such a thoughtful and engaging discussion, and to my fellow panelists for sharing their expertise and perspectives. It was inspiring to be part of a conversation that focused not just on technology, but on people, progress, and potential.

As we look ahead, one thing is certain: AI will continue to change the world of work , but with the right mindset, it can change it for the better.
