King's College London - Panel Talk

I’m excited and incredibly grateful for the opportunity I had to participate in a thought-provoking and inspiring panel discussion at King’s College London in celebration of International Women’s Day! 🌸

It was a true honor to share the stage with an exceptional lineup of women who are not only trailblazers in their fields, but also passionate advocates for change: Anmol Dhillon – ACG, ACS, Lydia Mapstone, PhD, Isha Shakir, and Nicola L. Martin FBCS FWES. Each brought powerful insights and personal stories that made for a deeply meaningful and impactful conversation.

Our discussion revolved around the importance of representation, equity, and empowerment — and how these themes intersect with our personal journeys and professional pursuits. In a world that’s continuously evolving, the voices of women are not just important — they are essential to driving innovation, influencing culture, and shaping more inclusive systems.

We explored:

  • The challenges women face across industries, especially in male-dominated spaces.

  • The power of community and mentorship in uplifting one another.

  • The need to redefine leadership through authenticity, empathy, and collaboration.

  • And most importantly, how each of us — through our work and presence — can be a catalyst for change.

What stood out to me most was the collective energy in the room — one of courage, vulnerability, and solidarity. It was a powerful reminder that when women come together to share experiences and knowledge, we not only empower each other — we ignite movements.

💖 Let’s continue to amplify our voices, break down barriers, and uplift those around us. The impact of days like this reaches far beyond a single event — it sows the seeds for a future where all women and girls feel seen, heard, and empowered to lead.

Thank you again to King’s College London for hosting such a vital and affirming event. The work you do to support gender equity and create inclusive spaces is deeply appreciated.
